Wetland and Life through Sounds
The song of hardworking people sung by wetlands
Korean wetlands are home to 851 species, including 164 plant species and 687 animal species. They all struggle to take firm root in wetlands, where high and low tides occur twice a day, causing changes in their environment. Wetlands bear much resemblance to Korean people, who have survived numerous foreign invasions and never gave up. Wetlands were formed on the south and west coasts of the Korean Peninsula after the Ice Age around the same time the Korean nation was born. They have shared a long history with the Korean people, helping them make a living. We take a look at life in wetlands around the clock through various sounds.
