Alaska boasts some of the most beautiful scenery in the North with its well preserved nature. The region has so many hidden stories that people are curious about.
Christine Kim joined the Channel 2 news team of KTUU TV an NBC affiliated television station serving Anchorage, Alaskain October, 2009. Born in the city of Chicago, raised in the suburbs, she's excited to experience all that Alaska has to offer. She is still a new reporter but receives good treatment due to the fact that not many people are willing to move to Alaska. For reporters like her, working in Alaska is an amazing challenge.
She's not too much of an outdoors gal, but she's eager to give everything a try. She already made a to-do list: learning how to ski downhill and cross country is definitely high on her priority list! Thanks to her ambitious spirit, she has already gained many fans.
Before joining KTUU, Christine worked as the morning news reporter at WICD in Champaign, Illinois. She also interned at Fox Chicago News where she field produced and contributed to the web department. Christine graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism. During her years in college, she was also an editor, anchor and reporter for the radio station, WPGU-FM, and worked as a print reporter for The Daily Illini. She was a
"one-man-band" at her campus TV station UI-7 News and was a reporter for an online news outlet, palestra.net. Even when she’s not working you can see her looking for great local spots and we follow Christine Kim in her colorful exploration of Alaska.
