Located in the heart of Ghana's capital Accra is Agabloshi market.
Pillars of smoke, created by the burning of electronic waste, soar over the market every day. The people of Accra find a way to earn a living by selling recyclable copper remaining in the waste dump. The toxic smoke is filled with life-threatening carcinogens and yet, the majority of the workers are young children under the age of ten.

They risk their lives for the dollar they earn for a bundle of copper. The children of Accra show us the digital disaster of the 21st century. This is not a problem restricted to Africa; it is an issue that addresses the whole humanity.
