[Energy for the Future] - Energy Expert John Byrne of the University of Delaware

As meteorological disasters become more frequent and the damages grow more severe, there is an urgent need for a systematic response to climate change.
The Seoul International Energy Conference was held in November, 2013. It was a chance to learn about energy in general and to think about 'green' growth. An advisory panel of 10 experts from 5 nations also gave a statement on improving Seoul’s energy self-sufficiency.
Dr. John Byrne visited Korea as a member of the advisory panel. He is the Distinguished Professor of Energy Climate Policy at the University of Delaware and Director of the Center for Energy and Energy Policy (CEEP). He is the founder of the Foundation for Renewable Energy and Environment (FREE) which seeks to promote a better future. As a member of a working group within the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), he has contributed to disseminating greater knowledge about manmade climate change.
He shares the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize with fellow members of the IPCC and Al Gore Jr.
We talk to renowned energy and climate expert, Dr. John Byrne, about the importance of energy efficiency and ways we can all help.
