[France and Korea, 127 Years of Diplomatic Relations]
Ambassador Jerome Pasquier
Ambassador Jerome Pasquier

France was one of the first nations to enter into diplomatic relations with Korea, and the two nations remain close economic and political allies.
On November 2 of this year, President Park Geun-hye began her European tour in France. She met with the economic and cultural leaders of France, including President Hollande, to discuss expanding trade and investments as well as identifying new growth engines.
Also there during the state visit was the French ambassador to Korea, Jerome Pasquier. Amabassador Pasquier is a career diplomat who served in Brazil, the United Kingdom and Croatia. Prior to becoming ambassador to Korea in 2012, he was also part of the French Embassy in Korea between 1988 and 1992. He arrived to see the 1988 Seoul Olympics and witnessed Korea's economic growth and democratic development.
Now back in Korea, Ambassador Pasquier is here to talk to us on [Heart to Heart] about the cooperative relationship between France and Korea.
