Kim Hee-jung was the youngest Korean female to become a member of the National Assembly.
She was also the first Korean female to become head of a governmental organization in her thirties.
Kim Hee-jung currently serves as the Chairperson for the Sixth Policy Steering Committee of the Saenuri Party overlooking four government organizations including the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ministry of Science, ICT, and Future Planning, and Korea Communications Commission. She also serves as the Secretary for Education, Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee of the National Assembly. And she is a member of the National Assembly's Gender Equality and Family Committee and Special Committee of Broadcasting Fairness.
Her personal motto of "Dream & Confidence, and Self-Leadership" has been the source of her strength to succeed both at work and home, giving her the nickname "superwoman."
