Mr. Jose Luis Bernal Rodriguez, Ambassador of Mexico to Korea
Mexico, the center of the magnificent Aztec civilization that flourished in ancient Central America! Although Mexico and Korea are geographically far apart, the two countries share many historical and cultural similarities.
Recently Korean President Park Geun-hye and Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto held bilateral talks during the APEC Summit held on October 7, 2013 in Bali, Indonesia. Mexico and Korea are strengthening their 'Strategic Partnership for Mutual Prosperity in the 21st Century' through various cooperative initiatives in economy, trade and technical cooperation.
Mr. Jose Luis Bernal was newly appointed as the Mexican Ambassador to Korea on July 2013. He is a diplomatic specialist who has worked for 33 years at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Before becoming a diplomat he worked as a global financial analyst at the Ministry of Finance and an advisor for international economic cooperationat the Ministry of Economy.
