Mickey Kim is a head of Asia Pacific partnerships for Google TV at Google and an advisor to start-up companies. He received his BA in history and business administration from Yonsei University in Korea. Upon graduation, Kim worked for Samsung Electronics as an international sales manager and led the company to become a dominant market leader in the Israeli mobile market. However, during that time, he conceived a bigger dream so that he decided to go to the US and earn his MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, where he was a co-president of the Haas Technology Club. In 2007, Kim started working for Google and leading partnerships with major consumer electronics companies and operators. In addition, Kim was recognized for his contributions to the company with two OC Awards, an award from Google’s top executives. In September 2012, Kim’s book about his career trek from Korea to Silicon Valley as well as the strengths and culture of Silicon Valley was published in Korea. Through this book and speeches, he is sharing his inspiring experience with people and has become a mentor to many young people.
