Park Jin-hyung has been working as the Program Director of Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival (PiFan) for several years and we meet him on "Heart to Heart".
PiFan is looking forward to its 16th opening this year and for the last 15 years, it has been evaluated as the most dynamic film festival with a lot of fresh energy. It also firmly established its identity as a fantastic film festival domestically and internationally through creative and progressive programming that is different from other film festivals. Furthermore, PiFan has progressed into the biggest genre film festival in Asia by cooperating with European Fantastic Film Festivals Federation (EFFFF) and international fantastic film festivals including Yubari Fantastic Film Festival in Japan. In addition, PiFan launched its first project market called Network of Asian Fantastic Films (NAFF) in 2008. And in the midst of all the achievements, Park Jin-hyung is actively working as the Program Director of PiFan. He travels around the world to different kinds of film festivals to research and gather films that are suitable for PiFan entries. This year's featured programs include "Puchon's Choice" - PiFan's official competitive section, "World Fantastic Cinema" - PiFan's main section of new genre films around the world, and "Fantastic Short Films" - selected various creative and experimental short films.
On today's "Heart to Heart", Park Jin-hyung introduces us to the world of fantastic films and shares the stories of how he is playing an active role as the Program Director of PiFan.
