In 2011, the first season of the Kimchi Bus project embarked on a mission to share the taste of kimchi with the whole world. The Kimchi Bus, which has both a kitchen and facilities to store kimchi, has been speeding along non-stop since then to introduce kimchi to foreigners overseas. The project that once seemed like it would come to an end with one event has now been ongoing for 3 years, firmly establishing its purpose.
The man behind the planning and execution of the Kimchi Bus is the hot-blooded Ryu Si-hyeong. A curious and daring man, in 2006 he traveled all of Europe with just 30,000 Won in his pockets. He is a chef, a travel writer, a photographer and event planner all at once.
