Kangta, who has been concentrating on his activities in China, is now back in Korea!

We caught up with Kangta on the filming set of a drama. He is back as an actor after being active as a composer and producer for the past 6 years.

He has been cast to play the role of a serious yet hilarious architect named Gu Seung-jae in the highly anticipated drama, 'Happy Ending.' He is flawless and full of talent when it comes to work, but is a pure, kind-hearted guy in real life as he is involved in various volunteer activities.

Kangta made his acting debut, playing the lead in the 2005 drama 'Loveholic.' Since then, he has starred in Chinese dramas and improved his acting skills. He played the lead in the Chinese dramas, 'Magic Touch of Fate,' and 'Love in the City 2,' and captivated countless Chinese viewers.
It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that the first idol group ever to be born in Korea was H.O.T! After its debut in 1996, H.O.T rose to super-stardom through countless hits such as 'Warrior's Descendants,' and 'Candy,' and become idolized by teenagers. They were the ones that led to the coining of the term 'idol group' and lead the K-pop craze.

The junior singers at his agency brought in over 150,000 fans to the concert held at the Tokyo Dome last year, and it was the largest concert ever to be held by Korean artists in one day. Kangta expressed that he was quite envious the junior singers, and talked about his plan for his future activities as a singer.

Kangta was one of the judges on the audition program, 'M.Net Voice of Korea,' which came to a conclusion recently with much success. He gained much attention for being a kind and warm mentor to the contestants, and showed a completely different side of himself to the viewers.

Kangta, who used to project an intelligent yet seemingly cold image, is now known as a warm, kind-hearted entertainer. It's already been 16 years since his debut, yet he is still a humble entertainer who tries to do his best in everything! Is there something in particular that he wants to pursue in the future?

Although Kangta has exerted a significant influence in the music industry as a singer, composer and lyricist, many still remember him as the idol star he once was. So in order to break people's stereotype, he is planning to train junior artists based on his diverse experiences in the industry.
