There¡¯s a lot of great music that came out of the 70¡¯s and 80¡¯s. It was a time when the genres of music were changing and evolving. Soul, Funk, R&B, New Wave, Disco, Punk, Glam Rock, Synth Pop, and so much more.

Rhythm Nation will focus mainly on the hit songs from the 70¡¯s and 80¡¯s but we¡¯ll also dabble from time to time with songs slightly before and after these two decades. But regardless when the song came out, we hope the melodies make you move and groove everyday from 4-6pm.

Weekday Corners

Monday : Sound Evolution
All the different stages of music have all helped to make it what it is today. Just like fashion, music too has gone through its share of genres, phases and developments. Sound Evolution helps us to understand the progression of rhythms, beats and sounds.

Tuesday : Cover To Cover
With all the great music out there, there are also some fantastic covers, samples, remixes, and mash-ups. This segment of the show will feature a wide range of covers in different genres.

Wednesday : Little Bit Country
DJ Denny spent a lot of his formative years living in Memphis, Tennessee. Because of that upbringing, not only does he love rock music, but he¡¯s also a little bit country. It¡¯s a shame that country music has somewhat of a bad reputation, and this segment will try to change your mind.

Thursday : Artist Vs. Artist
Not all bands stay together. Members change and lead singers go solo. Sometimes they make it big, sometimes they don¡¯t. Our guest and DJ Denny will talk about and compare what happened to these artists. We¡¯ll also see the difference between singers who debuted around the same time.

Friday : Back To the Soundtracks
Flashback to your favorite films from the 70s and 80s with special weekly guest Shawn Jones. Scoop out our opinions and memories of the movies and the music from them we know and love.

Saturday : Yester-News
History plays such a big part of music. Tune into Yesternews for the roles that music played in the past and vice versa. Get the behind story with the current-events of the past.

Sunday : We Will Rock You!
Sunday is Rock Day on Rhythm Nation. For the whole two hours of the show we¡¯re going to dedicate it to Rock! Rock! Rock! So get your fingers ready to play some air guitar, or drum out the melodies with your pens and pencils. Sunday¡¯s on Rhythm Nation, we will¡¦ we will¡¦ rock you!
