스토리셀러는 2004년 블러드 쿠키라는 이름으로 데뷔, 수백여 회에 달하는 라이브 경험과 5만 명이 넘는 규모의 해외 락 페스티벌에서 메인 스테이지에서 공연 등을 펼치며 국내 대표적인 여성 밴드로 자리매김했다.

스토리셀러는 12월 28일 정규 1집 앨범 `XX`를 발표하고 2월 9일부터 2주간 `락킹 코리아 인 EU 투어`(Rockin’ KOREA in EU TOUR)에 돌입, 영국, 프랑스, 독일, 오스트리아, 이탈리아, 스페인 등 유럽 7개국 투어 콘서트를 연다. 국내 록 밴드가 유럽 투어를 개최하는 것은 윤도현밴드(YB) 이후 처음이다.

국내 여성밴드 중 유일하게 대한민국 록씬을 지키고 있는 여성 4인조 록밴드 스토리셀러의 첫 번째 정규앨범 [XX]가 12월 28일 발매됐다. 대한민국 최고의 실력파 여성 밴드로 인정받는 스토리셀러가 데뷔이래 8년이라는 오랜 기간 동안 음악에 대한 탐구와 열정을 담아 만든 음악적 결과물로, 대한민국 음악 역사상 가장 강렬하고 거친 사운드로 중무장된 앨범이다.
정규 1집 앨범 [XX]는 음악에서 느낄 수 있듯 이 시대가 원하는 당찬 여성의 심리를 대변하는 페미니즘적인 색깔이 짙으며 사회에 대한 비판적 내용 또한 동시에 담고 있다. [XX]는 여성 염색체를 의미하며, 이번 앨범의 특징은 모든 곡이 [XX]라는 큰 틀 아래 만들어진 한국에서는 보기 드문 컨셉트 앨범으로 곡마다 전하는 메시지를 찾아가며 전체적인 의미를 완성해 보는 것이 이번 음반의 감상 포인트.

Storyseller debuted in 2004 as ‘Bloody Cookie’ and has since performed on hundreds of stages, including the main stage of an international rock festival, in front of an audience of 50,000.

Now one of Korea’s most representative female rock bands, Storyserller released their 1^st studio album XX in December 28, 2011, and are set to take off on a 2 week long tour in Europe. The ‘Rockin’ KOREA in EU TOUR’ will take the band through the UK, France, Germany, Austria, Italy and Spain. It will be the first time for a Korean band to tour in Europe following YB.

Storyseller is the only female 4-piece rock band in the Korean rock scene. Their first studio full-length [XX] is the fruit of the 8 years of their passion and musical exploration, full of some of the strongest and roughest sounds ever heard in Korea.

The album is thick with feminism and social criticism. The title refers to the female chromosome, and it is a concept album, for which the listeners are urged to seek out the messages within each track.
