* 델리스파이스 소개
Deli Spice는 1999년 7월 8일에 발매된 델리 스파이스의 데뷔 및 첫 번째 정규 앨범이다.
총 11곡이 수록되어 있으며, 타이틀 곡은 2번 트랙인〈가면〉이다.
3번 트랙 〈차우차우〉가 2002년 영화 《후아유》의 삽입곡으로 쓰이면서
밴드의 이름이 알려지게 되었다.

7집 [OPEN YOUR EYES]
그들의 음악활동 전체를 통틀어 쌓아온 경험과 노하우로 탄생시킨 앨범이다.
5년 6개월이라는 긴 시간을 토대로 차근차근 준비해온 이 앨범은 100여곡 중
11곡을 선택하여 구성한 ‘마스터피스’로 여겨질 만큼 높은 완성도를 보인다.
이번 앨범에서 김민규(기타), 윤준호(베이스) 두 사람을 주축으로 재정비한 델리스파이스는
새로운 드럼 서상준과 키보드 이요한을 영입해 녹음 단계부터 4인조 체제를 구축하였다.
이례적으로 김민규가 전 곡의 보컬을 맡았으며, 11곡 중 7곡을 녹음 단계부터 최종 믹스까지
모든 사운드메이킹을 김민규, 윤준호 두 멤버가 진행하여 이번 앨범에서 델리스파이스가
추구하는 사운드를 완전히 표현해 내고 있다.
한편 영국에서 활동 중인 DJ 겸 프로듀서 Postino(포스티노)와 만들어낸 Remix 버전은
앞으로 델리스파이스가 보여줄 또 다른 시도들를 엿보게 한다.
인생을 이야기하다. 앨범 제목 ‘OPEN YOUR EYES’에서 보여주 듯 델리스파이스는
이번 앨범을 통해 사랑, 이별, 우정에 대한 이야기보다
‘인생’에 대한 이야기를 ‘자아’에 대한 이야기를 담아 내었다.
* 곡 소개
첫 번째 곡 ‘OPEN YOUR EYES’로 델리스파이스는 함께 인생을 이야기해 나갈 것을 제안한다.
‘세 개의 태양’은 현실의 세계를 냉혹하게 바라본다.
‘슬픔이여 안녕’에선 희망을 노래한다.
‘무지개는 없었다’에선 고독한 자아를 표현했다.
‘별의 목소리’와 ‘이젠 다 지나버린 일’에선 인생의 쓸쓸함을 파고든다.
분위기를 바꾸어 ‘Run for your life’와 ‘레인메이커’는 쓸쓸한 인생 속에서 함께 살아가길,
‘세월’에선 과거로부터 벗어나길.
마지막 곡 ‘My side’에서 외롭고 쓸쓸한 인생에 당신은 나와 함께 있는가를 물으며
앨범을 마무리 짓는다.
델리스파이스는 이 앨범을 통해 고독하고 쓸쓸하지만
누군가와 함께 살아가는 우리의 인생을 그려 내려고 하였다.

Deli Spice debuted in 1999 with the release of their first album [Deli Spice]. The album consisted of 11 tracks, including the title track, <가면> “Mask.”
The band gained recognition after the second track of the album, <차우차우> “Chow Chow” was featured in the 2002 film《Who Are you.》
[OPEN YOUR EYES]
Prepared in 5 years and 6 months, the album consists of 11 “masterpieces” chosen among over 100 songs the band had created based on their experiences and accumulated know-how.
Rearranged with Kim Minkyu (Guitar) and Yoon Joonho (Bass) as the core, the band worked as a four-member group from the recording stage, with two guest members - Seo Sangjun (Drum), Lee Yohan (Keyboard).
Unprecedentedly, Kim Minkyu also doubled as a vocalist for all of the songs. Kim Minkyu and Yoon Joonho took charge of the entire sound-making process from recording through the final mix for 7 of the 11 tracks, successfully expressing the sound pursued by Deli Spice.
Meanwhile, the remix version created together with DJ/Producer Postino, who currently performs in the UK, provides a glimpse into the different attempts Deli Spice may share with the world in the coming days.
As the album’s title ‘OPEN YOUR EYES’ hints, through this album, Deli Spice tells stories of life and ego, rather than love, parting or friendship.
With the song , Deli Spice suggests a conversation on life.
<세 개의 태양> “Three Suns” views the world in a merciless way.
<슬픔이여 안녕> “Goodbye to Sorrow” sings of hope.
<무지개는 없었다> “There Was No Rainbow” expresses a lonesome ego.
<별의 목소리> “Voice of a Star” and <이젠 다 지나버린 일> “It’s All in the Past” delves into the loneliness of life. and reaches out to live together within the lonely lives; <세월> “Times” seeks to overcome the past; and the last track wraps up the album by asking if “you” are on “my side” in this lonely world.
