지난 2010년 6월, 5년만의 새 앨범이었던 2집 [This Moment] 발매와 함께 라이브 밴드 씬의 ‘미친 성대’ 혹은 ‘미친 라이브’로 단독공연 전회 매진을 기록하며
음악 팬들과 관계자 모두에게 실력을 인증 받은 몽니가 불과 9개월만에 3집 [단 한번의 여행]을 발매한다.
‘한 사람의 인생’을 ‘한번의 여행’이라는 함축적 의미로 표현한 이번 앨범은 몽니 맴버들의 탄탄한 송 라이팅과 곡 해석력을 기반으로
자우림의 기타리스트 이선규의 프로듀싱, 베이시스트 김진만의 믹싱, 드러머이자 몽니의 소속 레이블 대표 구태훈의 도움으로 그 어느 때 보다 완성도 높은 음반을 선보이고 있다.
이번 앨범에서 가장 큰 발견은 몽니의 전매특허로 일컬어지는 보컬 김신의의 폭풍성대에서 전해지는 변화인데,
분명 힘은 빠졌지만 강렬하게 무르익은 섬세한 표현들이 전작들에 비해 이번 앨범을 더 편안하게 만들어준다는 평을 얻으며 이미 음악 관계자들 사이에서 '올 해의 예정된 명반'으로 손꼽히고 있다.

‘망설이지 마요’ : 앨범의 첫 트랙이자 타이틀 곡은 한껏 경쾌해진 아날로그 감성으로 따뜻한 느낌을 살려주는 남미 전통악기 차랑고(Charango)의 사운드가 돋보이는 곡으로
후회 없는, 주저함 없는 에티튜드로 삶을 마주하자는 메시지를 담고 있다.
‘Sunshine’ : 봄바람과 연인에 대한 아련한 느낌들을 어쿠스틱 사운드로 풀어낸 곡으로 몽니의 ‘홍일점’ 이인경의 목소리가 산뜻한 바람처럼 다가오는 곡이다.
‘단 한번의 여행’ : 앨범과 동명의 타이틀 곡은 디어클라우드의 보컬 나인의 피쳐링과 아름다운 첼로의 질감이 한데 어우러져 깊은 여운을 주는 곡으로 몽니에겐 더욱 의미있는 곡이다.
‘바람을 지나 너에게’ : 1집부터 지금까지 몽니의 음악적 세계관을 관통하는 곡으로 어딘가 외로움을 전하는 섬세한 피아노 라인이 돋보인다.
‘눈의 여왕’ : 안데르센의 동화에서 영감을 얻어 북유럽 감성의 강한 연주로 연인의 마음을 돌려보기 위한 애틋함을 표현 해냈다.
공허하리만큼 낮은 피아노의 울림으로 상처받은 마음을 그려 본 ‘기억의 시작’은 후반부로 갈수록 격정적인 사운드와 김신의의 폭풍성대가 만나 아쉬움 가득한 가사를 더 절박하게 만드는 곡이다.

망설이지 마요 - Don’t Hesitate
Title track off of the album. The song is a light analog sound and uses a charango, which is a small South American stringed instrument, similar to a lute, but it looks like a 10 stringed guitar.
It’s a head bopping tune. The lyrics talk about how we shouldn’t hesitate in life, otherwise we might look back and have regrets. Both in our dreams and in our relationships.
Sunshine
The song is about the singer having a relationship with the warm spring wind. How we miss the feeling of spring, and the main focal point of the song is the vocals done by the bass player Lee In Kyung. A very simple acoustic sound.
바람을 지나 너에게 – Passing the Wind to You
This song represents a culmination of Monni’s music, beginning from their first album. The song goes out to anyone out there who is feeling isolated or lonely. Lyrically, the singer in the song is going to travel through the winds to get to the other person, but how long will that person wait for him to get there? There’s so many things that he wants to say to the other, but can they wait for me just one more day. How you’ll be stronger for it, and that you shouldn’t give up or cry anymore. That someone is on their way…
단 한번의 여행 - One Journey
This song features the vocalist from Dear Cloud, Nah In Eui. The song features a cello in the background. The song is about the journey of love. How it is a once in a life time journey, with some bumps along the way, but well worth it.
눈의 여왕 - Eyes of a Queen
This song has more of an indie rock sound than the others more ballad like songs on the album.
