The BBC reports that British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is going to announce his resignation today as leader of the UK's Conservative Party.
He will reportedly continue serving as prime minister until the autumn so the Tories can choose a new leader.
He'd clung to his post for days as he was abandoned by all but a few allies following a rebellion that has nearly paralyzed the UK.
More than fifty MPs have resigned from the government since Tuesday over a number of issues, including Johnson's handling of Brexit, "Partygate" and the resignation of his former deputy chief whip, Chris Pincher, who was accused of groping two men in late June.
