To mark 60 years of friendly ties with 15 Latin American countries, President Yoon thanked them for being traditional allies of South Korea.
He also asked for their support so that Busan can host the 2030 World Expo.
Yoon met with the ministers and vice ministers from ten Latin American countries, including Honduras, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Brazil.
He assured them that by hosting the world event in Busan, South Korea is ready to share the country's knowledge and experience in development and work to tackle global challenges such as climate change.
The ministers further voiced hopes of stepping up cooperation and said the port city is the right candidate.
