Gov't could offer everybody in S. Korea fourth round of COVID-19 vaccinations Updated: 2022-07-06 13:11:51 KST

With the number of COVID-19 cases rising again, the South Korean government could be about to offer more people a fourth COVID-19 vaccine shot, if they request it.
South Korea started giving fourth doses in February to vulnerable groups, including those 60 and older.
The health authorities said Tuesday that they're in discussions with experts about expanding that program and will announce a schedule if and when a decision is made.
South Korea reported more than 19-thousand new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday.
There were 7 more deaths, and 61 people were severely ill.
