Good morning. Blistering heat continues day and night Seoul has been under a heat wave warning for three consecutive days now, 6 days in a row in Daegu. Both cities will see a high of 34 degrees Celsius.
So it comes as no surprise that the number of heat-related patients is nearly 3 times higher than the previous year. According to the WHO, heatwaves are among the most dangerous of natural hazards so let's take it easy.
Passing rain is in the forecast today, Seoul will be seeing rain around the mid-afternoon and when it starts to rain, it could really pour down. Hopefully that will give us some slight relief from the heat.
High humidity and heat will make you feel more uncomfortable, it's no joke walking around during the day.
Some relief from the heat is on the way with monsoon rain returning at the end of the week. Until then, take good care.
