Intense heat will continue to grip South Korea tomorrow. Heatwave alerts will stay in place for most parts of the country, as highs will surpass 30 degrees Celsius. Seoul will be scorching hot at 34 degrees tomorrow. But temperatures will feel hotter than the actual readings. For the next few days, tropical nights with lows of 25 degrees will continue.
Meanwhile, the fourth typhoon of the season, Aere, is forecast to make landfall on Japan's southern island of Kyushu tomorrow. But, this will cause a more intense heatwave for South Korea as the typhoon may bring hot and humid air into the Peninsula. The South Coast and Jeju Island will be under a slight influence of this typhoon, as high waves across the coastlines are expected.
Mostly cloudy skies are expected for the morning hours. Lows in Seoul will start off at 25 degrees.
Due to the unstable air, inland regions will see brief showers for the daytime. Daejeon will get up to 34 degrees. Chuncheon 33. Gyeongju 32 degrees.
Along with the scorching temperatures, scattered outbreaks of rain are in the forecast until Wednesday.
