As many football leagues take their summer break, Poland is offering avid football fans another kind of tournament: The Swampions League.
The event, named after the Champions League, took place over two days on Saturday and Sunday.
Poland's northeast city of Korycin, hosted teams from Poland and Ukraine for the annual muddy competition.
Now in it's sixth year, the event saw six women's and 22 men's teams take part.
The event's organizer said the contest can help people decompress and shows that even in dark times, life can be normal.
Swamp football's origins are believed to come from Finland, as a way to improve the stamina of soldiers, as well as athletes.
