Let's take a look at what's going on in 'The World Now'.
A New York state law that required gun owners to get a license to carry their firearms outside, has been struck down by the U.S. Supreme Court.
The ruling came on Thursday in a 6 to 3 decision.
Conservative judges said the requirement to have "a proper cause" to obtain the "unrestricted concealed carry permits" violated the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.
Speaking from the White House, U.S. President Joe Biden voiced dismay at the ruling.
"I think it's a bad decision. I think it's not reasoned accurately, but I'm disappointed."
This marks the biggest expansion of gun rights in over a decade by the Supreme Court and may lead to similar laws being struck down in eight other states and the District of Columbia.
