More monkeypox cases detected in various parts of the world.
On Friday, Argentina reported one man was infected with the virus.
According to the country's health ministry, he recently traveled to Buenos Aires from April 28 through May 16.
It's the first such case confirmed in Latin America, a part of the world not usually known to have outbreaks.
Authorities revealed little about the patient other than the fact he had symptoms compatible with monkeypox, including lesions and a fever.
The WHO's advisory group on infectious diseases pointed out that cases reported in different countries suggest the virus may have been spreading for some time.
