N. Korea reports over 200,000 suspected COVID-19 cases for 5th straight day; int'l society shows willingness to help Updated: 2022-05-21 12:32:24 KST

North Korea had more suspected COVID-19 infections, or what it calls "fever," for the fifth straight day.
According to the state-run Korean Central News Agency, almost 2-hundred-20-thousand new cases on Friday.
Voicing concerns about the situation, UNICEF announced it's ready to send medical supplies to the North.
Following suit, COVAX vowed to provide vaccines to Pyeongyang once it starts vaccinating its people.
Ahead of President Yoon Suk-yeol's summit with his American counterpart, a senior U.S. official told the press that Washington is also willing to help the regime.
