It's been eight days since North Korea first reported an outbreak of COVID-19 and the total number of people with symptoms of fever has now surpassed 2-million.
This is according to data counted since late April released by the North's state-run Korean Central News Agency on Friday.
The total death toll now stands at 65.
Pyeongyang has been reporting more than 200-thousand cases a day for four straight days with Thursday's tally at over 260-thousand.
South Korea's National Intelligence Service said that the North's report on daily COVID-19 cases appears to be a strategy to reassure its people by showing the regime's efforts to tame the virus.
