In South Korea, today marks "Daehan," which means "big cold." Just like the name signifies, most inland regions are under frigid conditions. As of 9PM tonight, cold wave alerts will be issued for parts of central regions, Jeollabuk-do and Gyeongsangbuk-do provinces. In fact, for northern Gyeonggi-do and parts of Gangwon-do provinces, advisories will be raised to warnings.
Conditions will return to the seasonal average tomorrow daytime. But because morning lows will stay in the minus territory, expect wide temperature gaps of at least 10 degrees for most regions. Places like Cheorwon in Gangwon-do Province, will see a difference of 19 degrees Celsius. Under such conditions of fluctuating temperatures, our immune systems become weaker. Please be careful not to catch a cold.
Most regions will be under sunshine for the morning hours. Chuncheon will be very cold at minus 13 degrees.
Daytime highs will be 1 to 3 degrees higher than today. Seoul will get up to 4 degrees. Daejeon 7 degrees. Daegu and Gyeongju 8 degrees.
No rain or snow is in the forecast until this weekend. Relatively milder conditions are expected until Sunday.
That's all for now, and here are the weather conditions around the world.
