South Korea's Foreign Minister on Monday visited the "Ahk" unit in the UAE to encourage troops on behalf of the President .
"Ahk" means: "brother" in Arabic.
Since 2011, South Korean forces have been on a mission to train local service members and to protect Korean nationals.
Chung Eui-yong gave them gifts watches and Korean traditional biscuits from the president, who couldn't attend due to other schedules.
He said the troops are a symbol of a strong military that is trusted by the people.
Chung emphasized their hard work contributed to developing the special strategic partnership between the two sides.
