South Korea on Monday reported 4-thousand 3-hundred 25 new COVID-19 infections.
The number of critically ill patients remained above the 7-hundred mark for the sixth day straight.
The exact tally was 7-hundred-27 an increase of 17 from the day before.
Meanwhile, there have been 12 more confirmed Omicron cases, bringing the total to 24.
Prime Minister Kim Boo-kyum said on Monday that authorities will focus on containing the spread of Omicron for the remainder of the year.
