On the vaccination front, South Korea is set to begin its mass inoculation campaign for those in their 50s, starting next Monday.
The vaccinations are carried out in stages, with those aged 55 to 59, first in line to get the shots.
They will be getting either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines.
A recent study from Canada shows, a single dose of the Moderna vaccine provides 72 percent protection against the Delta variant, while the Pfizer vaccine is 56 percent.
This first round of vaccinations will last until August 14th, after which, the next group, consisting of those aged 50 to 54, will get their shots.
Today is the last day to make the reservations for those in their 50s.
