The COVAX facility a global vaccine project to ensure the equitable distribution of COVID-19 vaccines is facing rollout delays.
COVAX said Tuesday that it plans to deliver 237 million doses of vaccines to 142 countries and territories by the end of May.
That falls way short of its goal of 336 million doses by the first half of this year.
According to the CEO of a key partner in the initiative, the rollout has been delayed in some places due to shipping and approval matters.
But the official stressed that all doses pledged would be available, eventually.
