The daily number of cases has been between three-hundred and four-hundred for the past week.
And most of them are still cluster infections, especially at workplaces and factories.
In fact, 19 out of 71 cluster infections that emerged in the last two weeks are at factories.
There were eight new deaths, raising the total death toll to over 16-hundred.
South Korea's first COVID-19 vaccinations also kicked off on Friday with the jab developed by AstraZeneca and the Pfizer vaccine on Saturday.
The country aims to inoculate around three-hundred-and-65-thousand people by next month, and to achieve herd immunity by November.
More than 20,three-hundred people have been vaccinated as of Sunday, and of those a total of a hundred and twelve have reported mild side effects like headaches.
