South Korea summoned a Japan's deputy head of mission to Seoul on this Monday to lodge complaint over Japan's falseful claims to Korea's easternmost Dokdo Island at a public event.
Hirohisa Soma was seen heading into Seoul's foreign ministry earlier this afternoon.
South Korea issued a statement of protest over Japan's "unjust" claims to Dokdo and sternly called for the immediate abolition of the annal event where Japan lays claim to Dokdo referring to the islets as Taskeshima.
Seoul reaffirmed that Dokdo is Korean territory, historically, geographically and by international law.
