Another cold snap gripped the nation today and temperatures will plunge once again overnight.
Let's turn to our Lee Seung-min at the Weather Center.
Seung-min, this cold snap is set to let up tomorrow afternoon?
Well, Conn-young. After the snow has let up, a strong cold front blasted into the nation today, bringing lows down into negative double digits. But as you can see, there's an upward trend in the readings. The capital Seoul will stay under cold wave conditions through tomorrow morning. And as the week goes on, Thursday is promised to be a rainy one, nationwide.
In the meantime, cold wave alerts are issued across parts of central regions and the surrounding areas. That includes the Seoul metropolitan area and inland regions of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province.
The morning will start off sunny nationwide. Seoul and Daegu will begin at minus 7 degrees Celsius.
But skies will gradually become murky for the daytime. Seoul will reach 7 degrees. Gwangju, Gyeongju and Busan at 11 degrees.
In east coastal areas, dry conditions are continuing. Strong winds and low humidity levels of only 35 percent increase the likelihood of wildfires. So, please take precautions.
Because of the cold winds, fine dust has been washed away in most areas. We’re seeing clear visibility and good air quality tonight.
That's all for now, and here are the weather conditions around the world.
