S. Korea reports 386 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday Updated: 2021-01-19 07:05:13 KST

We begin with the COVID-19 situation here in South Korea
The country reported 386 new cases on Tuesday, staying below 400 for the second straight day.
Despite the slowing trend, authorities remain on high alert as they've eased social distancing measures for selected facilities beginning this week.
Of the new cases on Tuesday, 351 were locally transmitted, and 35 were from overseas.
There were 19 more deaths, bringing the death toll to 1,283.
South Korea's total number of cases has now surpassed the 73,000 mark.
