Good morning. A brief cold snap is here again with cold wave alerts across much of the country. We could feel that much colder air blowing in from yesterday afternoon. Daegwallyeong in Gangwon-do Province is braving minus 18.2 degrees Celsius this morning. Dress extra warmly on your way out.
Most parts are seeing double digit negative morning lows, at minus 11 degrees in Daejeon and Gyeongju and it's far colder in Chuncheon at minus 16 degrees. However, mostly sunny skies and clean air will be featured all day.
Highs in Seoul will rise to just minus 2 degrees, while most of the central and southern regions will see highs climbing to the positive territory. Many regions in the east coast are under dry weather alerts. Be careful of anything that could cause a fire.
This round of cold snap will be short lived. Temperatures will hike to a much more bearable side tomorrow afternoon, take good care of yourself.
