North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has attended the mass art performance held to celebrate the regime’s eighth Workers’ Party Congress.
The performance took place at Pyeongyang gymnasium on Wednesday, a day after the North announced the rare congress had come to an end.
The grand event included mass gymnastics, orchestra and dance performances staged with “three dimensional multimedia and lighting.”
Analysts note that the attendance of the North Korean leader, who skipped the celebrations at the previous congress, shows the significance of this year's event.
But no announcement related to a possible military parade has been released.
