Good afternoon. The piercing cold snap that swept the country for days will finally ease. We'll finally have afternoon temperatures right around the seasonal norms. But there are few things we'll need to keep in mind in terms of the weather today, especially for those in central parts of the country.
More snow is on the way for central regions from this afternoon. 1 to 5 centimeters are in store and it could linger late into the night, so drive with care during the evening commute.
Along with the snow, central regions and the Chungcheong-do Provinces will have high levels of fine dust today. Use a face mask that can block the fine dust.
Highs will be 4 to 6 degrees higher, getting up to 5 degrees Celsius in Daegu. Parts of the east will have mostly sunny skies.
The warming trend continues until late Friday, which will bring another band of freezing conditions ahead of the weekend.
