U.S. President-elect Joe Biden says he is glad that President Trump will not attend his inauguration this month.
Biden harshly criticized Trump Friday, saying Trump has exceeded his worst notions about him, and called him an "embarrassment" to the country.
Trump earlier announced on Twitter that he would not attend the ceremony.
If he does not attend, he will be the first president in 152 years, to skip the inauguration ceremony of his successor.
In the meantime, AP says U.S. defense leaders are reviewing whether to allow troops to carry guns in case of possible violence on January 20th, following the recent turmoil on Capitol Hill.
