Colder air to settle in...minus figures expected for weekend Updated: 2020-11-27 17:05:21 KST

Cold winds are set to sweep across the nation tomorrow, bringing temperatures down into the minus figures.
Let's go to our Lee Seung-min at the Weather Center.
Seung-min, it looks like a true winter snap is expected for the weekend?

Well, Conn-young. A strong blast of cold air has kicked in and winter-like weather will prevail for the weekend. Lows will drop to minus figures in the capital and in other inland areas as well. Frigid wind chills will make temperatures feel lower than they actually are, so make sure to wrap up extra warm.

Rain is in store for parts of the east coast and in mountainous areas of Jeju Island. We’ll be seeing around 5 to 30 millimeters of rain and precipitation may turn into snow overnight due to the subzero temperatures. The amount of snow expected is about 1 to 5 centimeters.

We'll be seeing a bitter cold start tomorrow in many areas. Seoul will kick off at minus four degrees Celsius, Chuncheon at minus five and Gyeongju at minus two degrees.

Periodic clouds will appear during the daytime. Seoul will reach 3 degrees, while Busan will reach 10 degrees.

Temperatures will continue to drop across the nation as winter is set to officially begin. So please bundle up and be careful not to catch a cold.

That's all for now, and here are the weather conditions around the world.
