U.S. stocks dropped sharply, pointing to another volatile day on Wall Street as investors nervously eyed elevated coronavirus case counts in the U.S. and Europe and weighed outcomes of Election Day next week.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P fell at least 3.4 percent.
The tech-heavy NASDAQ dropped 3.7 percent to finish at 11,4.87.
Oil prices, ALSO edged down, with Brent Crude down 5.2 percent.
WTI also fell 5.7 percent to 37-dollars and 33-cents a barrel.
