U.S. National Security Advisor says denuclearization talks could resume at next Olympics Updated: 2020-10-18 09:08:32 KST

U.S. National Security Adviser Robert O'Brien says a chance to resume denuclearization talks with North Korea could come around the time of next summer's Tokyo Olympics.
In a webinar Friday hosted by the Aspen Institute, he said Pyeongyang is interested in taking part in the Olympics, and at that time, the parties can get together to discuss, as he put it, "prosperity and better economic times for North Koreans."
The Olympic games, initially set to happen this past summer in Tokyo, have been postponed to next July.
