South Korea reported 63 new COVID-19 cases on Friday as it entered the Chuseok break's mid point.
It's the second day in a row of two-digit numbers.
53 were locally transmitted.
Due to the holidays, there's expected to be less testing conducted, a trend which may have contributed to the lower figures.
As increased domestic travel during the period could result in a surge of new cases, authorities remain on high alert.
In addition, the government asked for the public to remain home as much as possible throughout the weekend as well.
One additional death was reported bringing the total to four-hundred-16.
