S. Korea reports 38 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday Updated: 2020-09-29 07:58:33 KST

We start with the COVID-19 situation in the country.
Beginning today, thousands of Koreans take to the roads to visit their families over the Chuseok holiday.
The government has urged the public to refrain from traveling, and to strictly abide by social distancing measures until next week to curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
The number of daily cases reported on Tuesday dropped to 38 falling below 50 for the first time in nearly two months.
Of the new cases, 23 were locally transmitted and 15 were from overseas, bringing the total number of cases to over 23,600.
