Democratic Party, gov't and Blue House call for execution of extra budget before Chuseok Updated: 2020-09-24 13:55:55 KST

South Korea's ruling Democratic Party, the government and the presidential office are calling for the latest round of relief money, approved yesterday in this year's fourth supplementary budget, to be paid out quickly.
They want everything tied up before the Chuseok holiday, which starts next Wednesday.
Prime Minister Chung Se-kyun said Thursday that around 70 percent of the more than 6.6 billion U.S. dollar budget will be spent before then.
The people getting this round of support include small business owners, the recently unemployed and working parents who need to pay for childcare because their kids haven't been able to go to school.
