The sell-off on Wall Street did indeed continue when the markets reopened on Tuesday. A decline on the Nasdaq of more than 4 percent, wiping out weeks of growth. What's the story in the global markets?

Look at the local economy, the Korea Development Institute has now joined those predicting that the Korean economy will contract this year. And, KDI says, it won't be a V-shaped recovery, but will progress slowly into next year. What do you make of this forecast, Professor?

U.S. sanctions will be taking effect next week on the Chinese company Huawei. This will impact the big Korean memory chip makers like SK Hynix because they can't ship products to Huawei if they contain U.S. technology. What effect is this going to have on Korean companies?
