S. Korea's Hanwha Defense to build, maintain 30 K9 Self-propelled Howitzers for Australia Updated: 2020-09-03 10:05:14 KST

South Korea's domestically-produced K9 Self-propelled Howitzer is to be exported to Australia for use by the Australian Army.
The Australian government will release a request for tender to South Korean defense firm Hanwha Defense under the Army's 960-million U.S.-dollar procurement project.
Hanwha Defense will build and maintain 30 units as well as 15 K-10 armored ammunition resupply vehicles.
There are some one,700 K9 Self-propelled Howitzers in operation aroudn the world including in countries like Turkey, Poland and India after exports began in 2001.
