Seventy-two South Korean workers from Iraq are coming home this morning on a government chartered flight as Seoul evacuates nationals from one of the world's COVID-19 red zones.
Upon their arrival, the entrants will be quarantined at separate gates and those who show symptoms will get tested on site for the virus.
Those who are asymptomatic will be transferred to temporary care centers for a two-week mandatory quarantine.
This follows the return of nearly 300 nationals from Iraq last week, out of which 77 people tested positive.
So far, three dispatched South Korean workers at construction project have died from coronavirus, and two are receiving treatment.
