Torrential rains slammed the central and southern South Korea on Wednesday, flooding many homes, roads and farmland.
The Korea Meteorological Administration has issued heavy rain alerts for central and southern regions, including Cheungcheong-do province, Jeolla-do province and Gyeongsangbuk-do Province.
The heaviest rainfall was recorded in the southwestern county of Hwasun, with 225 millimeters.
The KMA forecasts rain will continue until Thursday, with some regions recording 30 to 80 millimeters of rain an hour.
