Seung-min, we had some stuffy temperatures during the daytime today as well as rain in some regions. What are the conditions looking like now?
Well, Jung-hee. There are still sporadic showers lingering in some areas. In most inland regions, including the Seoul metropolitan area, 5 to 40 millimeters are expected until tonight. Showers will be back in parts of Gyeonggi-do and Gangwon-do provinces tomorrow afternoon. On Jeju island, 5 to 20 millimeters of rain in forecast from morning until the afternoon.
We’re seeing cloudy spells in most parts of the country now. However, UV rays are set to stand at ‘very high’ levels all across the nation excluding Jeju Island.
Tomorrow, Seoul will begin the day at 21 degrees Celsius, Daegu 19 and Gyeongju at 18.
Daytime highs will be in the high 20s for most areas, but will feel hotter than 30 with the humidity. Seoul will reach up to 30 degrees Celsius, Daegu 28 and Gyeongju at 25.
On Sunday, another rainy front will return from Jeju Island and the southern coast. By the beginning of next week, we’ll be seeing more nationwide rainfall.
For Korea’s neighbors, Beijing will have rainy spells with sporadic thunderstorms for the daytime.
