National Assembly speaker Moon Hee-sang, together with floor leaders of parliament's three largest parties have agreed to postpone the plenary session set for today and reschedule it for tomorrow to vote on next year's budget proposal.
Initially, rival party lawmakers, excluding the main opposition Liberty Korea Party, had agreed to vote today on the budget along with a set of fast-tracked bills.
But the LKP which opposed the fast-tracked bills came back to the negotiating table, and the three major parties agreed to put off the controversial bills first, and vote on the budget bill tomorrow at 10 AM on the condition that the LKP withdraws its filibuster request.
The LKP is set to make a final announcement about the filibuster's withdrawal in the coming hour.
